A Typical Tandem Jump Doing a Tandem Skydive you will be able to experience the thrill of skydiving while relying on the Tandem Master’s skills to get you through the jump. You exit the aircraft with the instructor at 14,000 feet, giving you almost 60 seconds of freefall and plenty of time flying under canopy seeing a view like you’ve never seen before.
Tandem jumps are meant to offer an introduction to the sport. They allow the rookie to "take a ride" with an experienced jumper. A tandem jump requires from 15 to 45 minutes of ground preparation (it is not a First Jump Course). The jump consists of an experienced skydiver called a "Tandem Master" and the passenger. The passenger and tandem master each wear a harness, however only the Tandem Master wears the parachute. Pulling the Rip Cord The passenger's harness attaches to the front of the Tandem Master's harness and the two of them freefall together for almost 60 seconds, open together, and land together under one really BIG parachute. You have the option to pull your own ripcord and to fly the canopy yourself, however the Tandem Master will be in charge of the landing.
If you think you might want to pursue the sport of skydiving, take the easy route and make your first Tandem jump. If you enjoy it, AFF is there to show you the rest of the way.
The current prices for Tandem Skydives are $169.00 per person.
