MLK Day of Service

A special thanks to the members who came out to represent the Flying Gamecocks during the MLK Day of Service. Gamecock Invitational

The Gamecock invitational will take place during Carolinafest 2009. It will be a mid-year competition to prepare for collegiates and get our name out there!

Hosting this invitational means:

-brining collegiate teams from all over the country to our home drop zone for competitions

-building our club credit

-an opportunity to raise money for the club

-Cypress Reps will be there, and they give preference to collegiate entries

-Free Training! The Premier Swoop Team "Team Fast Track" will be providing free training for collegiates

-Free Coach jumps for our members who are off AFF (this is awesome!)

How to make the invitational happen:

-Planning for this invitational will take a lot of work and organization!

-Skydive Carolina will be organizing the skydive logistics, and the Flying Gamecocks (you and me!) will be organizing the rest

We need flying Gamecocks to work the event.. which means helping set up, running the registration table, etc. as well as to help plan the event.. which means contacting other college skydive clubs, among other things.

If you're interested in helping make this milestone happen,
